Responsibilities


Primary
  • To manage day-to-day operations of the unit, including supporting the tasks delegated by the Manager;
  • To provide timely reports from all meetings and programmes attended;
  • To conduct research on youth related matters and on tasks assigned by the unit;
  • To support the planning, managing and monitoring of day to day operations of the unit;
  • To support, plan, design and manage short term projects, sessions and dialogues and other related events or  
  • programs;
  • To reach out and connect the unit with youth leaders, youth communities, youth activism and their members locally and  globally directly via strategic partnerships as discussed and identified;
  • To manage the online presence (when needed) of youth campaigns launched by the Outreach Unit;
  • To explore, propose and present about ideas related to youth movements, projects and its people.
 
Secondary
  • To help and support other units in myHarapan when there is a need and deemed suitable by the Manager;
  • To help and support in research, facilitating inquiries and connecting other units of myHarapan to youth communities and projects;
  • To assist other units in myHarapan including conducting research, undertake field work, monitoring of supported youth initiatives;
  • To assist and support in other matters, deemed to be related to the achievement of myHarapan objectives and contributions to the youth, as seen suitable by the Manager and the top management;
  • Undertake any other special assignment, ad-hoc function and related duties as and when required.
     

Requirements


  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Commerce or equivalent.
  • 1 year of working experience or is already an established Youth Leader for at least 1 year track record of inspiring youth and partaking in youth leadership / entrepreneurship.
  • Self-motivated and able to work within a team.
  • Experience in volunteerism, has initiated online programmes for the youths, champions certain societal causes are added advantages.
  • Experience in garnering youth, organizing events and managing teams of young people and inspiring them is critical
  • The ability to work off the beaten path and use social media as a weapon of communication will be an added advantage strong passion and determination to better fellow countrymen and Malaysia is essential
  • Required skill(s): writing skill, Communication Skill.
