General Maintenance Assistant (Kuala Terengganu) - Petrofac
Responsibilities
1. Purpose
- Ensuring that all technical problems are handled in a timely manner. Will follow through on all issues until satisfaction of the parties involved. Also ensures all electronic equipment within the facilities is maintained, repaired, or adjusted appropriately.
- Provides basic maintenance and repair as necessary.
2. Key Accountabilities
- Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of a facility
- Liaise with contractors and instruct them on work to be undertaken.
- Keeping a record of all the day to day maintenance activities undertaken in the facility
- Maintaining service cycles records
- Assemble / Install / Fix electrical and electronic appliances.
- Performing a variety of general maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs (when necessary).
- Moving, loading, unloading, and transporting furniture, equipment, tools and supplies for use at the facility;
- Reporting defects, damages and malfunctions of any kind to the supervising authority
- Comply with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules (OSHS) while working
Requirements
1. Knowledge, Skills & Experience expected
- Possess troubleshooting and problem solving
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of employees
- Good communication skills and the ability to remain tactful and courteous at all times
- Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Be open to stretch, travel and long working hours
2. Minimum Qualifications required
- Technical or Commercial Certificate or equivalent
- 3 years prior related experience
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good knowledge of PC applications
