R&D Engineer (Principal Engineer/Design Lead) - Expert - 2052704 - Agilent Technologies
Responsibilities
-Owns and leads the design / implementation / delivery of Gross Margin Improvement, Disco part replacements and Assurance of Supply projects; is the key technical contributor / owner
-Ability to analyze / debug / troubleshoot / integrate complex HW/FW designs, performance analysis in detail before and after design changes
-Reduces broad concepts, scope & strategies into structured designs
-Solves complex, high impact design / development problems

Key Skills Required :
-Power device types / limitations, semiconductor theory
-Control loop theory, design, simulation, measurement
-Power conversion topologies (buck, boost, resonant, etc)
-Analog design - frequency response, low noise, flatness, signal shaping, specs derivation - and simulation tool experience for analysis/synthesis
-FPGA design
-Embedded FW design - Visual Studio and other development environments, C/C++/C# based
-HQ and SQ activities - what quality is guaranteed by design and what must be tested for
-How to make measurements/instrumentation requirements/design of experiments to facilitate design and qualification.
Education / Experience:
-Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
-Typically 8+ years relevant experience for entry to this level. Post-graduate and/or certification/ license may be required.
-Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in job.
-Not a natural progression from Advanced level. Solves complex, high impact design/ development problems
